I Fear. . .
Tonight D. and I were sitting at the coffee shop trying to figure out what our respective fears were called. Hers is a fear of talking animals and mine is a fear of midgets. We went to The Phobia List to try to figure these out. Unfortunately it seems that neither of our phobias have been named yet. . .does anyone out there know what these phobias are called? Anyway I did compile a list of phobias that I liked and maybe one day hope to contract
anuptophobia - stying single
dextrophobia - things on the right
emetophobia - vomiting
Oneirogmophobia- Fear of wet dreams
Politicophobia- Fear or abnormal dislike of politicians
Proctophobia- Fear of rectums
Defecaloesiophobia- Fear of painful bowels movements

Lygophobia (DH's..we have nightlights everywhere because the 48 yr. old is "scawed")

Okay, I think I have a name for my phobia: do you remember those Meow Mix commercials from the 80s - early 90s with the cats all sitting in a row singing "Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow... we love Meow Mix..." or something like that. Anyway, their eyes would roll and move, and their mouths would move, but not in the way a cat's mouth should move when it meows. The mouths were moving in a human and completely creepy fashion. Hence the phobia - at least that's where I can trace it to.
So... Meowmixoralophobia.
I had a psych prof in college who said that sometimes we fear things that we can see part of ourselves in.
so, this would be minivinnieophobia?
