Sanjaya?
Okay, I just don't get the whole Sanjaya bru-ha-ha. Of course I haven't watched American Idol since season one but from what I have seen the boy is only moderately talented (at best). I could see if he was drop dead gorgeous or something but aside from some excellent orthodontia there really isn't that much to say about him (except for stupid hair). I dunno, teenage girls are strange creatures and what they find so fascinating in that kid is a mystery to me.

Part of the bru-ha-ha is that this kid is only marginally talented and is clearly out of his league with the other contestants yet manages to stay on the show week after week.
As for his appeal according to my 13 year old niece it's all about the hair! In my sister's day it was David Cassidy, in mine it was Leif Garret, Vinny Barbarino and the BeeGees. It's always about the hair.
I think the teenage girls secretly desire his hair care and styling tips. If only they could get their hair to do the same things!
Huh! So it really is all about the hair. If only I knew that fifteen years ago. . .
Sure it's the hair, but also the fact that the public keeps voting him in as a joke. Sort of a William Hung effect, people like to hear hot garbage for some reason.
