Texas

Okay, there is a lot wrong with Texas but they do do their rest areas up. We stopped at the first rest area in Texas yesterday and it was freaking amazing. They had these metal TeePee areas set up for picnicing overlooking these gorgeous rock formations. The rest area itself was powered by a wind generator. Who knew Texas could actually be somewhat eco-friendly? Anywho. . .for my mom so there is visual proof that I am alive and well (yes, even at 35 she still freaks when she knows I am going on a long road trip. Why do I even tell her these things instead of waiting until after the fact?) here is a pic at the rest area.
