Super Easy Banana Cream Pie

Chris and I are both dessert fiends and we usually end up buying a premade dessert from the grocery store. I know there are easy desserts out there to be made but most of the recipes I see are pretty complicated or time consuming or both. There is an exception though. The original recipe was for a pumpkin flavor but it is so easy to switch out to any flavor you like. This banana cream pie is so easy and so delicious:

Ingredients:
2 cups cold milk
2 packages (the 4 serving size) instant banana pudding (I use Jell-O brand)
8 oz whipped cream (the cool whip in the tub works best)
1 6oz graham cracker pie crust (you can make your own but I just buy a premade one)

Directions:
Whisk the milk and the pudding together
Spread 1 1/2 cups pudding on the bottom of the pie crust
Gently mix 1/2 the whipped topping with the remaining pudding and spread over first layer
Add the rest of the whipped topping to the pie and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. I find that overnight is best but 4-5 hours works pretty well too.

If you want to fancy this up (and who doesn't) try putting a layer of thinly sliced kiwi between the first two layers and top with a few slices of kiwi or whole raspberries.
